If Pan & Aadhaar Do Not Match
If your PAN and Aadhaar details do not match, you must correct the discrepancies before linking them. To correct PAN details, visit the NSDL or UTIITSL website, fill out the correction form, submit the required documents, and pay the fee. Track the application with the acknowledgment number. For Aadhaar corrections, visit the UIDAI website or a local Aadhaar Enrolment Center. You can update details online or in person, submitting the necessary documents for verification. Ensure that names, dates of birth, and addresses are accurate across both documents. After corrections, you can easily link your Aadhaar and PAN online. Correcting Details in PAN

Visit NSDL or UTIITSL Website:
- Go to the NSDL e-Governance website https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html or the UTIITSL website https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/PAN/newA.do.

Fill Out the Form:
- Choose the option to apply for a correction in PAN details.
- Fill out the form with the correct details and upload the required documents as proof of the change (e.g., proof of identity, address, and date of birth).

Submit the Form:
- Submit the form online and pay the required fee.
- You will receive an acknowledgment number to track the status of your application.

Send Documents:
- Send the physical copies of the acknowledgment receipt along with the required documents to the NSDL/UTIITSL office if necessary.
Correcting Details in Aadhaar
Visit UIDAI Website:Go to the UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in and click on the "Update Aadhaar" section.
Update Online:If you have a registered mobile number, you can update your Aadhaar details online by selecting "Update Demographics Data Online".
Follow the instructions to log in with your Aadhaar number and OTP.
Update the necessary details and upload supporting documents.
Update via Aadhaar Enrolment Center:Visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Center.
Fill out the Aadhaar Update/Correction form with the correct details.
Submit the form along with the required supporting documents.
Provide biometric authentication.
Check Status:After submission, you can check the status of your update request on the UIDAI website using your Update Request Number (URN).
Points to Note
Name Mismatch: Ensure that the name is exactly the same in both PAN and Aadhaar. Even small discrepancies like spelling errors need to be corrected.
Date of Birth Mismatch: Ensure that the date of birth matches in both documents.
Address Mismatch: While the address does not need to match for linking, it’s good practice to ensure both documents have the correct address.
Steps to Link After Corrections
